Researching the possible expansion of cities led me approach it by an utopia of a large building in the center of the city that contains the city itself. The desire to get compared and contrasted with the development of Novi Beograd, expansion of the city designed in the late '40s, a project based on the spread of large urban buildings arranged on a grid geometric. In opposition to this way of approaching the town, I proposed a project located in downtown Belgrade, in a lot in the historical city, adjacent to a large park.

The concept is the extrusion of the volume of the exisisting isolate vertically divided into blocks of the extended height of the blocks adjacent: 14 meters so can create an overlap of layers as if we had supported the city blocks one above the other. Plan recognize a theoretical overlap of isolates which consequently create roads, squares and empty/public space. The building dimensions are 180m x 150m x 168m The building is a city, contains in its interior. Where there is less light (really inside the building) there is located: commercial spaces, spaces for recreation and entertainment: cinema, clubs, theaters, auditoriums. Going to light: schools, universities, research space, sport. The outer crust is entirely dedicated REIT.  The density of Belgrade 3207.19 inhab. / Km ². calculating the same ratio, the building can accommodate 500 thousand people, about half of the current city.
